It had been a couple days since Quinn had been placed barely alive into the Sarcophagus, but now the time had come to emerge as the final Horsemen. Pestilence. Perhaps connected more to Deven as a part of En Sabah Nur with this new transformation than the small pendant still around her neck. With the final member of En Sabah Nur's Horsemen at his side, it was time to change the world and bring the rebirth of Mutants. Taking his place in the center as each of the Horsemen took their corner of the Pyramid-- an energy spread throughout the city. The screams began...and the attack from three Helicarriers to that floating metallic Pyramid started.

It wasn't long before the X-Men received word that the Pyramid had started to move. The Blackbird moved quickly towards the city and what once was the area of the Tomorrow Center and that Pyramid. There wasn't a real plan in mind, but they had to do something. As they neared, they could see the conflict between three helicarriers and Apocalypse had already started.

As the attack ripped into the side of the metal structure, En Sabah Nur sent his three newer Horsemen to take down the annoyance, one carrier for each of them. Death remaining at his side to protect the Pyramid. Pestilence reached out and focused her energies to infect one of the helicarrier's systems with a virus to rapidly disable the craft. First communications, then lights, followed by weapons...and then the turbines that kept it in the air. War charged into a second carrier and tore into both the structure and people tearing them both apart bit by bit. Famine slipped into the last of the carriers and drained the strength of those in his path to give him strength to take out the core of the craft to forcefully ground it to the earth.

Ruby could see the destruction and with no better plan than to launch herself at the structure itself was coordinating that idea to Layla...just as Mal suddenly appeared within the ongoing chaos of the area. The sudden sight gave Layla pause, but only for a moment as she recovered to confirm and send Ruby flying towards the Pyramid. With the arrival of Mal, and the shift in his work to reduce the loss of life to those on-board the helicarries-- En Sabah Nur called back his Horsemen from the attack and to reassess the situation. As Ruby was launched from the Blackbird towards that Pyramid, Death suddenly made an appearance and took her scythe to strike her down into the buildings below-- leaving a path of destruction and a crater once that intended cannonball impression had a change in direction. Once Death returned to En Sabah Nur within the Pyramid, it shot up into the sky just beyond the reaches of Earth's orbit.

As things calmed down in the wake of the destruction to the carriers and the city, only brief words were exchanged to indicate it would be best to regroup back home. At the estate. The ride was quite, and upon returning to the Xavier Estate, each went their own ways to reflect on the outcome of the recent encounter.
