Layla wasn't quite able to read the Asgardian that was now before them. From what she could pick up of the other woman from that hammer-like ship, it was best to stand their ground and not initiate an attack, looking to Ruby to take the lead in response since it was clear she was familiar with this individual. Val quietly moved back inside to where the non combatants, seeing she'd probably be better able to help protect them if things escalated further outside.

Kevin hung back a bit from the group, watching and looking for a cue from the others to act. It wasn't often that he'd seen Ruby refrain from throwing the first punch with someone she didn't like, and it was clear she didn't like this woman. Angela was the name Ruby identified her as when demanding to know what she wanted. Apparently they wanted to find Mal, who had previously departed before the ship itself had centered in on the estate.

Veronica had joined up as Val returned inside to the rest of the other trainees and little Dylan. She'd sent a text to someone that might be able to help with the situation if it escalated further. Though outside it didn't seem like Ruby was intending this time to let the matter get to the point of a full on fight. She agrees to go, if for no other reason than to buy time for the rest. However that didn't seem to sit well with one of the Zen-Whoberi that shot a green beam in Ruby's left eye causing actual damage to her external stone features. This resulted in a slight change of plans, instead of Ruby...Layla was demanded to take her place.

Even with Max's sudden appearance to between Angela and Layla, this was not a fight they could handle right now. Angela, with Layla, both disappeared within that blue swirl of light to board the Ragnarok. Leaving an injured Ruby and the rest of the members of the estate behind. Max tried to get Ruby back inside as something appeared to be leaking from the injury to her eye area, it wasn't blood it was shadowy fluid like a liquid smoke-- a red, frosted glass encased Ruby before it could become worse. Effectively putting her in a makeshift cocoon. Max wasn't certain what else to do at this point, but sent for Alys to help watch over Ruby. Kevin worked to secure the damage in the area so at least the rest of them could get some rest. There was little they would be able to do right now, and until they could confirm information from Ruby...they'd know very little about their recent visitors to the estate.
