The other night from Max's idea to test out what Veronica could discover, if anything at all, about a more mental aspect to Alys' powers had left the young woman shaken. She'd been asked to relive a moment in life that she'd rather forget, but trying to do so was just running away and wouldn't get any answers. At the moment she was uncertain what might have been found out from that night, Veronica had helped her recover enough to attempt rest to call it a night and allowing a moment to recover from the experience. They'd go over later once Alys had rested more about what she'd learned. That's why she found herself with a cup of green tea in the kitchen, waiting for Veronica to show up so they could talk for a bit. For the moment, all she knew was the fading terror that memory brought her...and nothing else.
Alys started in her seat a bit when Veronica's mental voice poked at her, she looked around the kitchen for the source of the voice and felt silly after she realized that the question inquiring into how she was feeling was in her head. It seemed a bit odd, but she thought back she was just kinda okay...which pleased Veronica at the attempted response by that means as a moment later she walks through the kitchen doorway. After a moment of settling in, the obvious question on her mind finally came up-- was there anything found in the memory she'd relived while Veronica was there with her reviewing that experience along side her.
Outside of the obvious of a scared girl that was attacked and forcing a fight-or-flight reaction that likely caused her powers to manifest as they had...it was still a bit confusing as to what her power could do. The chat turned a bit to Veronica revealing that she, herself, had an abrupt waking to her own powers...and it was one that ended up leaving her in a coma. One that she might not have emerged from if not for the help of Valerie, someone sent to find her by the one called Mal. Alys recognized the names from when Max was talking about other people on the estate, but she'd not met any of those people yet. Though considering that Mal was from a different reality as Veronica tried to share her own experience and show Alys that her own abrupt discovery to her powers was not something she was alone in-- the young girl was taking in the information fairly well. It's kind of a lot take in and digest, but when you just learned that people can talk in your heads let alone teleport from one place to another in moments-- it makes things a bit more easy to wrap one's mind around as plausible.
Something that Max hadn't really stated was that some of the people she'd yet to meet there were not just unavailable-- they hadn't made it out from that Pyramid incident. Alys wanted to ask more on that and of the two that were considered lost since that incident, but felt after Max's own reaction to mentioning the event it was best to leave it alone for now. It wasn't important at the moment and could wait. She offered some of her tea and a bit of comfort to Veronica, there was no way the woman could have known that her own involvement in introducing Kevin to this group would have lead to the events prior. The loss of not just him, but of his wife Valerie...someone that had helped Veronica pull out of that coma to reclaim her life. One thing was clear to Alys now though, being an active participant with those here was not without risk...even if they meant well...
